Dr. Carles Morera has attended the first International Symposium on the use of Carbo Fiber in spine surgery.

“I think this is a very interesting contribution to the properties of this material in the column instruments:

• Does not produce artifacts on NMR or TAC scans
• Significant resistance to fatigue
• Bone-like elastic modulus
• Essential in oncologic surgery since it does not interfere with the posterior radiotherapy.

It will be an alternative in spinal tumor surgeries because of its ability not to compromise possible posterior radiotherapy, and also in certain cases of adult vertebral degenerative pathology, mainly because of its high resistance and bone-like elasticity. ”  Dr. C. Morera.
